Court House Retirement Home is set in a Georgian house in the centre of the lovely village of Cheddar and has views over the beautiful Mendip Hills. The site dates back to 1240 A.D. and courts were held here from that time. The Home has lovely gardens which are level and interesting, consisting of lawns and flower beds plus a courtyard and a cottage garden with a fishpond.
The village of Cheddar is a short distance the famous Gorge, and boasts numerous shops and restaurants,a post office, a lending library, a chemist and churches of several denominations, all within level walking distance of Court House. Situated opposite is Cheddar Medical Centre - a leader in its field, is recognised as having the latest treatments and approaches in both conventional and complimentary medicine.
The historic city of Wells is only seven miles away and the Georgian City of Bath and the city of Bristol are all nearby. Other attractions are Weston-super-mare , Brean and Burnham-on-sea, Glastonbury Abbey and the Wookey Hole caves
